In the event you do not qualify as low income according to the established DHR guidelines, or if you have been denied service from other marketers, you may still qualify for service with SCANA Energy Regulated Division.
Step 1:
To establish service contact SCANA Energy Regulated Division toll-free at 1-866-245-7742. Customers may be required to pay a $150 deposit at time of sign up. Establishment fees will appear on your first monthly statement along with a $10.95 customer service charge.
Step 2:
Inform the SCANA Energy Regulated Division representative that another marketer denied you service or that you do not qualify for service through DHR. Please have your legal name, Social Security number, phone number, date of birth and employer information readily available.
Step 3:
The SCANA Energy Regulated Division representative will then perform a credit check through Equifax for verification purposes, set up an account and give you the account number and payment location where you can pay your deposit. Once the deposit is paid, you will need to call SCANA Energy Regulated Division back so we may contact Atlanta Gas Light to schedule a date and time for your natural gas service to be turned on.
